Howdy, I'm Andres Urdaneta.

I'm a self-taught Ruby on Rails developer building web apps since 2019.

It all started when I just wanted a sick website for my electric guitar lessons. Page builders felt too limiting, so I picked up a Udemy course and taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I got hooked on coding! Since then, I’ve worked at software shops and startups, and now I work independently, building web apps using Ruby on Rails.

Why “Untaught”?

I didn't go to college for Computer Science. I just picked things up from blogs, videos, reading open-source code, and a lot of trial and error.

This blog is my way of giving back to the community. A love letter to programming, and a way to return some of what I’ve been given.
